Bringing Broadway to Beacon; and Joy to local children-

I waved goodbye to my newly reserved girl, dropping her off at a brand new place for a music rehearsal. I took that deep shaky breath, that has become a marked part of all new adventures for my daughter lately. After a rocky school year, her natural light has dimmed. But, when she is performing, a star is born each time. It's not simply the stellar performance in my biased opinion. It's the presence of her joy that is deeply expressed in her whenever she is on stage. So with two cranky babies in the back of the car, the early spring heat, many more errands to run today, and knowing I'm pushing her to feel a bit nervous about starting something new; I have had her audition for another show.

Fast forward to when I picked her up, and she is calm, cool, collected and excited for the upcoming show.  I had an idea that Kate was something special through our email correspondences. I have seen and reviewed a ton of kids programs throughout the years as a publisher. I studied child development and I have 4 children of my own. So, I've formed an opinion of what a good class looks like.  But, the best judge, is the response of a child. I could see clearly on my daughter's face, that this was going to be a great show.

Beacon Performing Arts seemed to have the mix of professionalism, quality, authenticity, comfort and fun that makes for great childrens programs.

We are so excited to attend the show this coming weekend.
